CORAL TREE GUEST HOUSE offers the comforts of home in The Friendly City, Port Elizabeth, South Africa!
Three-star excellence specially for you and your little children, you and your pets, people in wheelchairs - and you, of course - awaits you here, whether you're coming to The Friendly City on business or for pleasure. The Coral Tree Cottage is for self-catering, and The Lucky Bean Suite is for B&B.
AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT-HAND CORNER OF AFRICA!
That's where we are: in the harbour city of Port Elizabeth, in Parsons Hill, overlooking Algoa Bay, a wide inlet on the south-eastern coast of South Africa. This is a unique geographic and ecological area, where "The Big Seven" (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant PLUS great white sharks and whales) may be seen at Addo Elephant National Park and many other private game reserves. Our metropolitan area, Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, is also richly endowed with diverse biodiversity - 5 biomes are represented in different reserves within our city.
THE CORAL TREE COTTAGE
The Coral Tree Cottage is set up for a family of five, for self-catering, with a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining nook and lounge and two separate rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.
THE COTTAGE IS VERY CHILD-FRIENDLY!
The Coral Tree Cottage welcomes little children and babies – with baby furniture, books, toys, games, DVDs and videos, and a safe outside patio, with a Jungle Gym and Wendy House full of toys to make them feel at home.
PARENT- FRIENDLY TOO!
Parents can relax, read a book - or do nothing - while their children play safely in the secure patio, where access to the pool is controlled by parents exclusively. There’s also a washing machine in the full kitchen if you have to do laundry, but when Mom needs a break from cooking, we gladly provide family meals to order. Grandparents find that The Lucky Bean Suite, our other unit, suits them perfectly.
THE LUCKY BEAN SUITE
The Lucky Bean Suite offers Bed and Breakfast and the comforts of home for three people. It has a private entrance and its own secluded little garden alongside the pool. Business people will find that The Suite offers a serene antidote to a stressful business day, as their home-cooked evening meal is conveniently delivered as room service when it suits them. Breakfasts are served in the dining room.
THE SUITE IS WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY
A spacious carport and paved pathways and ramps welcome guests in wheelchairs to The Suite, which has many wheelchair-friendly features, including a roll-in shower.
PETS ARE VERY WELCOME
Pets and their people are welcome to enjoy their own private, safe spaces (the fences are even "Yorkie-proof!) in both The Cottage - for self-catering - and The Suite, for Bed and Breakfast.
WE'RE RIGHT IN THE HEART OF "THE TEN-MINUTE CITY"
It's an easy walk up the hill to the Collegiate Schools, the Hellenic Hall, the Eastern Cape Health Department, the SABC, then up in Cape Road, you'll find the Eye and Laser Institute. A little further away are Greenacres Shopping Centre, Greenacres Hospital, St Georges Hospital, the Mercantile Hospital and the Provincial Hospital. Aspen Pharmacare, Mondelez International, Frasenius Kabi, GM, Coca-Cola, the SABS and several other corporate HQ's are down the hill from us.
THE AIRPORT AND BEACHES
Are less than 15 minutes away by car.
Tennis, golf and bowls facilities, a Virgin Active Gym, the Grey High School Pool and the Newton Park Pool are all within a few kilometres from Coral Tree Guest House. The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium can be seen from the other side of our street, very conveniently for Rugby and Soccer fans visiting Port Elizabeth for local and international games such as Rugby Sevens matches.
BED&BREAKFAST OR SELF-CATERING
We offer both, at reasonable rates, and Special Rates for Families.
